swampthing – Thanks, I didn’t know about the grass seeds – interesting. Nice to know there’s a second purpose. BTW, the “bearded duck” post is the funniest thing I’ve read in a long time!
Nice pic! The ducks and geese are also after the seeds on those grasses, as well as the little bugs that live on the rotting stems!
it is amazing how quickly some areas can become wet!
hey, lana – it’s rained a lot in the couple of days since I took that picture, but we seem to be at equilibrium. I don’t enjoy the weather per se, but I do like the wider expanse of water, which attracts lots of ducks and geese.
Nothing like the snowy/melty/refreezy days of Winter! *sympie hug*
