There were a bunch of these gossamer threads scattered around the lawn a few mornings back. They look like spider webs, but that doesn’t seem likely. Any thoughts?

I’m pretty sure these are the webs of funnel-web spiders.
I think I’ve found those things as a kid and after waiting them out a spider did finally make an appearance.

Hi Wren, I bet Doug of Gossermer Tapestry could tell you. I think they are some kind of spider web, but that is only a guess.
