Everybody who goes to Alaska wants to see a moose, right? Well, we saw two, right in Anchorage the very first day, nicely silhouetted against the sky.
The first one was taken at 10 o’clock at night, not long after we arrived downtown from the airport. Our first indication that we were in the land of the midnight sun.
Enjoy, and visit the rest of the Skywatch posts when they are posted at 7:30 GMT today.

Always loved Alaska. Nice shots.
I love signs! I’m nor sure I would ever get use to daylight at 10:00 at night! I do hope I get to see Alaska one day, though. A cruise would be lovely.

These are my kind of moose. I had one race by me at a fast clip in Maine once and it scared me half to death! But I bet she was more scared than I was. LOL

Great shots. Nicest moose I’ve ever seen.
Great signs and ideal for SW.
I like them, good SWF images
If I go I know this is probably the only way I’d see a moose!
Lovely shots!
Tom is right – a different Sky pic and wonderful it is.
LOL.. I like both of these… early doors and I’ve seen two that are out of the box thinking.. great stuff.
Interesting way to present the sky and most effective. I like to look inside at the mundane things on show in our cities. Thank you.
Those are really some first class signs. And they were not cheap.
