I mentioned earlier that I had enjoyed watching a family of groundhogs in our neighbor’s field. When I stopped seeing them, it took me a while to figure out that they hadn’t disappeared, they were just too short to be seen once the crops started growing. (Okay, it was a d’uh moment, but sometimes there’s just not enough coffee, ya know?)
On second look, a few days later, I noticed something else:
Their coming and going had worn a bare spot in the field.

I love those "duh" moments. I can't help but shake my head and laugh at my own. Thanks for your comment on my b&w's.
I miss my Ann Arbor groundhogs. They used to take one bite out of every tomato. I miss my tomatoes, too.
I am so excited you are coming! How do you feel about sushi?
Inner city ground hogs, Tom? The mind boggles.
Very cool. We had inner city ground hogs at our old place, but none to be found in our new suburban digs, and I hadn’t thought about them until your post. Great find.
Tom
My guess is that won’t be possible until after harvest time. But we’ll see.
Cool! So now we will see some groundhogs antics here?
Cheers, Klaus
