Wren October 10, 2008 at 5:14 pm: Robert – the squirrels are both tame and benign, and as they live in the middle of a college campus, they are used to lots of people being around, handouts or not. Mostly, they aren’t interested unless there’s clearly food in it for them.
Robert V Sobczak October 10, 2008 at 9:50 am: We have the same issue down here with alligators and seagulls. Both are a problem: but it’s particularly dangerous with the gators. The ones that pose the most danger to the public are the ones that are acclimated to human contact and getting a free handout. Squirrels could be relatively harmless in that case however.
