  1. They are a striking looking bird. The thing I love about House Sparrows is that they are everywhere. I find that they are a dose of home when I travel to far flung parts of the globe. Seeing them never ceases to amaze me. They ground me and connect me. I just don’t love them as much at home. Two-faced aren’t I?

  2. All of these are great but I really like the first one. The textures and shapes really compliment the photo. :-)

  3. Bev - I understand completely. I hate sparrows when they mob my feeders and chase off the other birds. At the same time, I find them cute when they hop around begging for food outside a coffee shop. Go figure.

Thank you, 2sweetnsaxy. The first one’s been a fav on flickr, too.

  4. Wren - it’s very difficult for me to enjoy a House Sparrow’s best but you did it! Great photos!

  5. That is really beautiful.

  6. Thanks, Mary. I’m just a pushover for living creatures, no matter how annoying. :)

Thanks, Sandy. New motto? “If you can’t bird the ones you love, love the birds you’re with” Doesn’t quite work, does it?

  7. Wren, LOL. “love the birds you’re with.”

  8. Bev, :)
