All of these photos were taken from inside the train which we rode from Anchorage to Denali National Park. Yes, even the first one, which I took from my seat as the train went around the bend. I haven’t done a good job of capturing the majesty and breathtaking beauty of the land as we rode through, but I’m not sure any photo can do that.
We did see scattered wildlife, but none I was able to photograph as other than a blur.

Wren, it is so hard to photograph Alaska and portray her beauty… unless that is, you have been there. You have to feel, breath, and experience Alaska, then, and only then. Will you truely know the beauty in the photographs, you have done a fantastic job here….. thanks for sharing
Wow, amazing scenery. I would like to take the train ride too. Happy Tuesday.
i’ve been to alaska, but never made it to denali. your photographs make me want to go back and make sure it’s on the to do list.
Alaska is spectacular! I have been there twice, but never to Denali. Love the last picture with the boats.
Oh how I love the Pacific North West. Those look like they could be taken around Vancouver, which is where I’d love to be. One day.
I think you’ve done a fantastic job on capturing what looks to be stunning scenery. Wow what an adventure travelling on a train throiugh countryside like that. Awesome. I’ll have to put Alaska down as a must place to visit. Thank you for sharing.
I’ve been lucky enought to visit Alaska twice, but Denali is on my must-see list!
I think you did a great job capturing the beauty. These are great shots and makes me want to take a train ride even more.
And in response to your reply on my post, I try to take my camera everywhere. Seems like whenever I don’t I miss a great photo opp like last night. I ran to the store, no camera and missed the most beautiful sunset I’ve seen in a really long time.
Great photos. Nothing like a choo choo trip across beautiful country. Look’s like the weather was playing tricks on you … probably some rain mixed in, and probably a cold one.
Oh Wren, It is so beautiful and I am so jealous! What wonderful shots! It looks like you had a great time! My Mom would love the train. That’s how she travels. She never flies.
What a beautiful place. Awesome!

How cool is that! Taking a photo of the front of the train while you’re in a car somewhere towards the rear. Looks like the train also travels fairly flose to the edge of some steep banks!
Incredible images, thanks so much for sharing.

Wow, beautiful! I love taking trains anywhere, but enjoying scenery that marvellous would be extra special.
Great photos.
We enjoyed them.
As you know, Martha and I love Alaska like a second Home.
You are right, the scenery is hard to capture with a camera, but they bring back memories which are still vivid.
