Thanks, Liza Lee – the white cotton-y looking plants were so thick in one area, I thought it was snow on the ground until we got closer.

SG – they were in the 3-5 foot range, which is pretty short for a spruce. They just look like very young trees, but they’ll always be that height.

Wren, all of these flowers are just beautiful. I see that Betsy says she’s going to Alaska someday. I hope she’ll take me with her!

Are those dwarf trees? I have yet to see any even though I was supposedly in the area which they grow.
