Wren: What a neat place to get to experience. I will have to check to see what else you will show.
Such an interesting combination of differing architecture styles!
Lovely shot!
A lovely old Russian Orthodox church. What a history Sitka has had!
Magnificent shot! Thank you for your visit and greetings from Croatia…
Beautifully taken
The architecture looks like early american and russian together. I like it. Alaska is definately on my list. Nice capture.
A beautiful picture. I liked Sitka best of all the places we visited the two times we went to Alaska.
The architecture does look Russian. Beautiful building and photo!
Lovely architecture. I’ve been to Alaska but not Sitka. There’s always somewhere left to go.
Your comment about the geese marching by was hilarious, wish I had thought of it myself!
Sitka is very interesting in its blending of Russian and American Frontier cultures, architecture, and art. And of course, the modern conveniences demanded by all cruise ships and their passengers.
Nice perspective! Have never been to Alaska.
Great looking picture. I want to see more.
This is a lovely and inviting sight!
This is such a crisp clear image. There used to be a Sitka Daily Photo but no more. Always though it looked such a lovely place.
beautiful capture wren. i think many forget that alaska was once part of russia way back when and some of those structures remain.
have a lovely tuesday.
That is a beautiful steeple and what a great capture! My first thought was Russia, too!
Have a lovely week, Wren!
At first I thought you had made a visit to Russia. Lovely shot.
What an interesting steeple. Beautiful.
Are you sure that isn’t Wasilla…
Beautiful! We have similar towers on some very old houses here in Sweden. They’re so beautiful to watch!
