I had planned a whole series of photos today to show Sitka, and it just isn’t going to happen that way. So enjoy this lovely example of Alaskan Native art, and come back tomorrow and Thursday for more.

Such a cool photo! I have a watercolor print by Sue Coleman of a great blue heron perched on the bow of canoe like this one…its one of my favorite bird art prints in our house. If you google her name, look for her 2009 calendar, it is the cover picture.
