Wren July 20, 2009 at 9:23 pm: This picture is from last summer. I was surprised when the doves built a nest in such a low hanging branch of the tree, even more surprised when I saw how big the “baby” was. I was able to duck in,grab a couple of quick shots, and leave with minimal disturbance to either of them. I like to think that the baby, grown up, is among the doves fluttering around our house this year.

Perhaps even the one that just flew up on our roof, carrying a beakful of nesting material.
