I planned to go out after work and take photos of the yard, the flowers blooming in the butterfly garden, and the variety of birds and wildlife wandering through the yard. Of course, it rained as soon as I left work. On the way out to parking, I took this photo of one of the buildings near my office with my phone. It didn’t really capture what I found interesting in the arrangement of posts on top of the building, but it does show the sky.

Sometimes, life – and photography – is like that.

Skywatch is a meme, a communal sharing, of photos of the sky from around the world. It’s just-for-fun, not-for-profit, and noncompetitive. To participate, blog a photo which includes the sky, then add its link to the master list at the Skywatch website. Enjoy, and visit the rest of the Skywatch posts when they are posted at 7:30 GMT today.

Thank you for the sky and the clouds in your picture here.
In days to come, hope I get to see photos of the yard and the flowers blooming in the butterfly garden…..Cheers.:)

Thank you, Celine. The flowers are blooming much more now, and I’ve even seen a few butterflies.

Ah, no matters where we are, there is always the sky!

Reassuring, isn’t it?

Thanks to you all for stopping by – as you’ve probably read already, I’m on the road at BlogHer09 in Chicago. There’s Internet access, and it’s working hard, but there are 1500 bloggers with laptops here and we all have breaks at the same time. I’ll get round to your blogs as soon as I can, and look forward to more reliable reciprocity next week,

I love those cotton wool clouds and the posts on top of the building are unusual looking to me. Almost like a bunch of little chimneys.

Yepp, sometimes things don’t work out the way you want them too.
But it’s a cute shot nonetheless :)

Great shot!

Nice quiet shot of the fleecy layer of clouds. And almost looks like people standing on the roof. Reminds me a surreal painting.

Hi Wren, the skies change so rapidly that its hard to plan a shot. I see the cloud stealing away in your capture leaving you with clear skies, which is nice.
Do you recall last week I mentioned a chap who was para gliding across the channel with the eagle he raised from young.
The eagle did not want to leave its cage in the helicopter at flight time and was launched by hand.
Well done for showing its displeasure. It flew off to nearby land and waited to be collected.
Moral of this story is not to impose your own risk on eagles.
