I blog here as Wren, taking the Carolina Wren as my namesake, avatar, and totem.
Wrens are bright and cheerful little birds. I hope I can be the same and brighten your day when you visit. I'm proud to call myself a nature lover and tree hugger, and hope that sharing here will contribute to bettering this world of ours and inspiring a love of nature in my visitors.
Thank you for being here, for commenting, for helping to build a strong community of nature lovers, and for doing so much for nature, for wildlife, and for people in the "real" world.

Wren: Neat capture.
It was fun just watching them, but I am glad some of the photos turned out OK.
That was a good one
I enjoyed the pictures too
swallows are too cool
Perfect response!
Thanks.
These photos are wonderful. So is the haiku. I guess I won’t complain anymore about putting a meal on the table.
It does put grocery stores and microwaves in perspective, doesn’t it?
Such great shots! that last shot is precious..with the little fledgling calling out for food!
It was a wonderful few hours watching them. I felt truly fortunate.
Beautiful and you captured it nicely.
Thanks, Tabib!
I love those last two lines. Very true.
Thanks, Scienceguy. I used to play around with haiku, but haven’t for a while. It was fun to try my hand again.
Heather, Kathi, Deborah, Kat, & Sandi – Thank you all, so much! I was *so* pleased that I was able to catch some of the magic I saw outside my window, and even more so now that I am able to share with you who also enjoy the same magic. The haiku was an afterthought, and I have to admit I had to stop and sort out 5-7-5 vs 7-5-7.
Wonderful haiku; tender photos. Lovely.
I loved this! Both the photos and the exceptional haiku are memorable.

You’e outdone youself with these shots!! Never seen anything so charming!
I love this haiku! Perfect! It sums up love and motherhood and nature all in one sweet package!
What wonderful moments you captured. A labor of love, to be sure.
Bonnie, – Yes, I agree – the communication is quite clear.
Jayne – it was a magical morning, watching the brood hang out and be fed. I’ve never had such a good opportunity to observe them.
How sweet! Mine are gone now. :c( They stayed around and even roosted under my porch for a wonderful week. I hope to see the next brood too.
Perfect capture of birdlings’ communication.
