That’s an amazing shot of the eagle.

I’m so glad you like this one – it was another previously neglected gem that I unearthed while reviewing photos for some other project. I thought it was rather better than I remembered it being, and it seems I was right about that.

Look, Wren, this is a nice eagle pic but I really would have expected a comment from you on the Fence King. ;-)

Awesome angle on this shot! Isn’t the Sitka Raptor Center an amazing place? I visited the center in May when a cruise I was on stopped in Sitka and I was blown away by the incredible facilities that they have and the number of people that go to the center from the cruise ships. They are truly doing a wonderful job of educating people about raptors and the need to protect these wonderful birds!

Ooh, what a cool angle. Nice and close too. Great shot Wren.

Nice close up, would not like to be to close to a beak that size.

One of my favorite raptors Wren. Much more impressive to me than the Bald Eagle. And what a great close-up of this beautiful specimen. That rather large beak, golden eye and the rufous-orange feathers of the nape make for one gorgeous photograph!

Gorgeous.

Wow! How fantastic to be that close to such a beautiful bird.
