the more things change (my world)

This photo was taken last February, but the view out back is much the same today. We’ve just had our first accumulation of snow – an inch or two – and it’s been warm enough for much of it to melt. We have the same patchy appearance, with just a slight bit more snow lingering on. It’s predicted to be above freezing today, and the backyard faces south. By the time I’m home again, even less snow!

Wren, no snow here but I have grandkids visiting so I am keeping very busy! Happy New Year to you! I hope all is well at your house!

Wren: We are making up for a lot of missed snow today.

Let me know if you want any more – I’ve got some to spare, now that I’m home.

And how much do you have today, dear Wren? I heard it was starting to accumulate.
Wishing you a lovely holiday season- are you getting a break from the U between Christmas and New Year? Stay warm!

As you wrote that, I was enjoying the sunshine in Southern California, and could honestly say, “Haven’t the foggiest!” When we returned home yesterday, we had about an inch and a half. Not bad, particularly when compared to last year.

I imagine you have more snow now. We even have snow now, though not very much yet. Happy Holidays!

Wren January 1, 2010 at 10:22 pm

Still only a 1 – 2 inches, not that I’m complaining.

You will get heavy snow soon.
Happy Holiday!

Fellowship, feasting, giving and receiving gifts are all the buzzwords in a Christmas setting. Make your Christmas a one to cherish for years!

Love this shot and the one of the colorful turkey in the previous post too. No snow where I live … ever! I shared My World later than usual this week due to Christmas ‘stuph’ and am playing ‘catch up’ today … Wishing you and yours a joyous holiday ;-)
Hugs and blessings,
