My friend Anne took both of these photos in July 09 at Prince William Sound in Alaska. I’m hoping to help her identify the mystery avian species. Your thoughts?

Well, the comments on the BPW entry is closed so I guess I comment in here. It certaily is a cool bird. Never seen it but would love to one day.
Not sure how that happened, but it’s fixed now.
