Surprise! I’ve been in Albuquerque and DC for meetings. It was my first visit to Albuquerque since the early 90′s, and I didn’t get to see as much of the city and surroundings as I would have liked. Still, I did get out to ride the super long, super high tram that takes you to the top of Sandia Peak. At 10,000+ feet elevation, it was more than 30 degrees colder and there were a couple of feet of snow on the ground. Skiers and snowboarders were having a blast. I’ll have some photos from the tram ride and the higher elevations tomorrow and Saturday.

This is a fun ride to skywatching activity.
It was a fun ride – great view and fascinating to watch the terrain change as we went through 4 different climate zones.
I love to ride on high tram one day but afraid of heights.
Great shots of the sky and tram.
Great shots, Wren! I love to ride in those and have a chance to see things from a different perspective! Hope you have a great weekend!

This is particularly fun, because it’s one of the longest in the world.
I love how you can see the ground as it goes up into the sky. Good shots!
Thanks, Carver. I love the high desert and its scenery.
Oh, so you beat my Tirol post by 4,000 feet.
