Wren, all of your orchid photos have been just gorgeous. They are truley a beautiful flower, so beautiful, they don’t even look real. ~karen
Karen, thank you! I had lots time of time to spend enjoyably puttering around the greenhouses taking photos while the floraphiles were shopping. Big advantage over birds, being stationary.
You know you’ve got it bad when you see one of your less-favorites get a virus or fungus and kind of hope it will go ahead and die because it was taking up too much room anyway. I just threw out a substandard, small flowered yellow phalaenopsis without anything near the proper measure of sadness.
You’re not the first person who’s said something similar to me. I think orchids, though rather benign in general, must have some addictive properties.
That orchid is beautiful.

Thank you, Luiz. I don’t have the patience to grow them myself, but am glad others do so that I can appreciate their beauty.
