Beautiful bird, beautiful photos. I like that you included the reflection in the first one. Wish I could get that close. The ones I see are always at a distance and quickly leave if I try to get close enough to photograph.
Very nice captures! Great close ups!
Nice shots of the Great Blue Heron Wren! It’s great to see them up cl;ose like this.
Wren: I do love this bird, great photos.
He’s gorgeous!
I love that close-up!
Wow – how did you get so close? These are fantastic shots!
I love great blue herons. You did a great job photographing this one.
Beautiful capture and lovely detail!
How did you get these shots? They’re fantastic!
Every time I try to get close, they fly away.
Although this is a wild bird, it’s very used to people being close by. Also, it lives in the middle of a swamp full of alligators, which does reinforce a feeling of safety.
I did not know the blue heron had such a long neck. So elegant. Like the Egret
Great shots…Like the first one best.
Nice! The feathers look a wee bit gnarly to me, going through molt, perhaps?
Gorgeous, Wren. I do love me some GBHs. They are so majestic and yet so prehistoric looking.
Terrific! I wonder what is going through that little head…
Probably wondering if he can catch and eat the big fish with the camera!
Great shots!
