Yes, everybody’s tired of snow. But it’s kinda hard to talk about my world without mentioning it this time of year.
We haven’t had a big snowfall, but we’ve had some snow just about every day. As the current temperature is hovering around 5 degrees (F) and the daily high has been around 16 (also F) not much of it has been melting, even in the direct sunlight. 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch, it’s added up. Like adding coats of paint, it covers the visible world.
Still, it is beautiful in the morning light.
And blue skies are always welcome, and always beautiful.

Wren, many of us above the Rio Grande are becoming tired of the snow. Like you we here in the Ohio Valley have not had many heavy snow falls, but a continuous shift of snow to keep it white. While there are many advantages such as seeing interesting tracks and some lovely scenery, it does begin to feel monotonous and there just so many “lovely snow scenes” our blog readers can stand. I don’t need rings to tell me how long winter is. I already know it is 2. 2-long, 2-dark and 2-dreary.

Snow!!!! we have lots of it. Beautiful Images….
It does look really nice with the early morning light! I love the hint of yellow in the first shot..pretty! but cold!!
it definitely looks great in that morning sun. I really like that first shot – you can see just a hint of yellow from the sun – very pretty!
Lovely wintershots. The snow is really white. I wish we had so little snow…
My entry is here
honestly, we wanted more snow. now we have it
)
I love your snow! Such beautiful images…
I think I like the fact our snows come and go throughout the winter. If they lingered longer, we’d have to buy a 4-wheel drive vehicle. With intermittent snow, we just wait for the white stuff to melt.
Beautiful blue sky!
Hurray for magical snow and sun and blue skies!
Beautiful shots of winter.
Oops, should have said in the comments below, second from the end. LOL

If you cut a slice of the snow on top of the table, would you be able to tell its age by the rings, like a tree?
Like my fellow Canadian in the comments above, I think it’s only the lovely blue skies that keep this west-coast-transplant sane in the cold and snow of Alberta.

Wouldn’t that be great? Count the layers of snow and know instantly how long winter has been.
Gorgeous pictures We don’t get much snow here in NZ In Holland that had heaps for a couple of weeks.
I love your photos as always and I do know what it’s like! Having raised my family in Montana, I’m accustomed to lots of snow but it was always beautiful — even when we whined and complained!! Here in Seattle we surely don’t have those kinds of temps or that kind of snow, but it’s been a miserable winter anyway!! Way too much rain, dark gray skies, windy and chill! I’m ready for spring!!! Have a great week!

So beautiful all covered in white. Very very cold where you are.
I think blue skies are even more welcome in winter!
) I cannot afford to be tired of snow yet! I would just drive myself crazy if I did as we have at least seven more weeks of winter here in Ontario!
I try to ignore the recollection that we’ve had some of our worst snows in February.
But it’s not the snow I mind so much as the cold. Coming from a climate where the entire winter might not have a day with temps below freezing, week after week of this icy, bitter cold is chilling, so to speak.
lovely images, it’s funny how we get tired of the snow but still we all know it’s beautiful….. Our snow disappeared a couple of weeks ago
