bald eagle at sitka raptor center - second view

Believe it or not, I’ve finished the photos from Australia, and I’m returning to blogging the Alaska trip, taking up where I left off at the Sitka Raptor Center.

Wonderful eagle views! My sister sent me photos as she traveled through Alaska earlier in the year and she caught some views of eagles in the wild. I’ll need to find and share them soon.
Hugs and blessings,

Where I live, I see eagles daily. I am in the territory of a family, so sometimes, depending on the time of year, I see the whole family at once. However, I will always look upon one with the same joy, delight, and awe as if I am seeing it for the first time.

That is awesome – what a treat to watch the whole family as they grow and change over time.

What a beauty. Wonder what his story is!

I no longer remember his story, and only know that he was injured and unreleasable. I did see the huge indoor flying cages where the rehabbers work with the large raptors to get them ready to release.

Even in captivity, eagles are magnificent.
