I loved the visual cacophony of the green houses. The orchids themselves exude peace, beauty, and serenity, in the midst of all this glorious exuberance.
I imagine that being an orchid is like meditating in the middle of a subway station in New York City at rush hour.
You can love the energy and love the quiet, all in the same moment/thought/breath.
I can’t put a name to either of these plants. These photos, like the orchid series, were taken at Florida Native Orchids.
I think I’ll caption this one “Jump for Joy.”
This photo was taken at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, a marine mammal rescue facility in Clearwater, Florida. I’ll post more information about their efforts (and how you can help) later this week, but for now, just enjoy.
