How could you not make friends with a creature so cool, and so laid back? I didn’t even have to offer a bribe of food to get close and comfy.

I think I know who’s in charge in this relationship! I think everyone wishes for a special moment like this with a wild animal, at least once. How wonderful it must have been.

That little ‘roo has got ‘look adorable, get scratched’ mastered.

I think there may be lots of positive reinforcement for that behavior.

how wonderful, I guess it loves your touch!

How cools is that?
And not even bribing it? It must have liked you a lot :D
I’ve not yet seen one up that close :)

Re Egypt – I try to enjoy it as Best as I can.
Not always easy, this place is even weirder than Kuwait sometimes, but at least it has many beautiful places and no dust storms ;)

I carried one under my cardigan for three months until it had enough fur to cover it and was to heavy for me to carry. It was a lovely time for me and got me over the worst of the grieving for my brother,

Arija, I am so sorry for your loss of your brother. But the kangaroo in the sweater sounds like a fascinating story. I hope you’ll share with us how you came to have the kangaroo to foster.

….ohhhh….I would fall in love with them in a flash I’m sure! He’s just like a little puppy!

12 Janie of Utah November 23, 2009 at 10:50 pm

Aw, now that is cute. He seems so friendly, as if he loves being petted.

13 Wren November 24, 2009 at 7:07 am

My guess is “tolerates being petted” at least when not being fed. But it was still fun.

Chilled out roo.

How cool, lucky you! It seems at peace laying there. Great photo.

Oh, what a cutie! I would love to be able to pet that little guy. What a fun, terrific shot, Wren!

Have a great week!

Oh, that is both sweet and exotic looking to me.

19 Carver November 23, 2009 at 4:31 pm

That’s adorable. Great shot!

20 Dirkjogt November 23, 2009 at 4:23 pm

He doesn’t seems to be afraid, used to people I presume.

21 Wren November 24, 2009 at 8:09 pm

Very much so.

22 Stephany November 23, 2009 at 4:06 pm

Great shot, Wren! I didn’t know they were friendly either. Is this one full grown?

23 Wren November 24, 2009 at 8:10 pm

I think so, but I’m not sure. They seemed to come in various sizes. Perhaps one of the Australian readers can help answer that ?

24 Martha November 23, 2009 at 4:03 pm

I never would have thought they could be so friendly.

25 Fishing Guy November 23, 2009 at 1:53 pm

Wren: How very neat, certainly a friendly chap.
