What joy they must bring!

They do indeed. It’s one of the best experiences of the summer.

These are the cutest swallow images!

I had such fun watching them – I’m so glad the pictures turned out well and serve as a good memory.

A beautiful series of photos in this family portrait, Wren. I love the soft greens in the background setting off the dark blue feathers. The babies seem quite large beside the parent. Isn’t it amazing how quickly they grow?

it is amazing – it’s only been a little while since they were fledged, and they now fly with ease. At a distance, they are difficult to distinguish from the parents.

Super job capturing the essence of the swallow Wren! They are so cute aren’t they? With those huge gaping beaks, just waiting for mom and dad to fill them up.

They are extremely cute, Larry. I know that’s not a concept to birds, even about their own offspring, but I know I’d be willing to feed them if they were mine.

Wren: I just love the neat photo series of that beautiful bird.

Rajesh, thank you!

Scienceguy – it doesn’t get any better than this!

FishingGuy – I couldn’t believe they stayed around for so long and that I had so many chances to take their pictures.

Dawn – so glad you enjoyed them as much as I did.

Jayne – I know what you mean! They become adults and avoid humans (and cameras) so quickly.

I so miss mine here already. I do hope they’ll bring their next brood by for me to see. Great shots Wren!
