Just back from a weekend away, and unexpected vacation from the net. I thought I would be all caught up in my spare time on this mini-vacation, but guess what? Didn’t happen.
Now that I’m reconnected, I’ll have more to say. But first, I have to shovel off my desks at home and in the office
A couple of short notes:
I and the Bird #81 has been up at The Marvelous in Nature for almost two weeks now. This isn’t breaking news, so think of it as your last gentle reminder to go look and read, because next up as host is Kathie at Sycamore Canyon. The deadline for submissions for #82 is today, Tuesday August 19, so send, send, send those birdy insights to Kathie (kathiesbirds1 AT msn DOT com) right now. I want you to have plenty of practice for #83, which I’ll be hosting here at Wrenaissance Reflections.
Up even longer is the August edition of Festival of the Trees at Foxhaven Journal. From the FotT website:
Next month the Festival moves to southern Spain, home of the English-language blog Exploring the World of Trees. Dan runs one of the most focused and handsome-looking tree blogs out there, and we’re honored to have him as our host.
Send links to recent blog posts, websites or photosets to Dan by email: treespecies AT gmail DOT com, or via the online submission form. The deadline for submissions is August 29. Don’t forget that anyone can submit appropriate material that they might run across on the web; it doesn’t have to come from the author.
Enjoy!
