I love feeding the birds. I have the feeders situated on the deck so that I can see them from my living room, dining room, and kitchen. This is a pretty small crowd – often there are birds covering every one of the feeders, all perches, and scouring the ground below. In addition to these sparrows, finches, and doves, I’m seeing red-bellied, downy, and hairy woodpeckers, blue jays, robins, cardinals, and a very large, noisy family of starlings daily.
